If you live in Cedar Bluff or the surrounding areas, Liberty Day is a known highly anticipated annual tradition. While COVID shut the festivities down in 2020, we are looking forward to the return of fireworks in 2021 and hopefully a full return of Liberty Day in 2022.
Liberty Day allows the Cedar Bluff community to celebrate our freedom, our friends and our family. Activities start early in the day and conclude with an amazing firework display. Vendors line our streets with arts, crafts, delicious refreshments and fun activities for children of all ages.
Another tradition we look forward to is the annual BBQ fundraiser held by the Cedar Bluff Volunteer Fire Department. This year the Fire Department sold Boston Butts for $30.00 and they are available for pick up on July 3rd from 10:00 - 2:00pm.
The main event however is the amazing fireworks display over Weiss Lake that can be seen over the Highway 9 bridge between Cedar Bluff and Centre. Weiss Lake is full of boaters coming from all parts of Weiss Lake to take in the colorful display. While the water provides the best view, there are other great views available on land.
Owning a home on Weiss Lake brings you a sense of community and family. It's great to get out and meet your neighbors. This is one of the many reasons we all love to call Cherokee County our home.

Stay safe and have a Happy Fourth of July!
